The racing course includes both theory and practical elements. The practical part is carried out in your own car. After completing the course, you can apply for Svensk Bilsport’s Racing licence in order to compete, both with a standard car and a formula car.

4 hours of theory and around 4 hours of practical training, which qualifies you for a track racing licence according to the Swedish Automobile Sports Federation (SBF). After passing the course, you will receive a certificate that enables you to apply for an SBF Racing licence. Study material will be sent out approximately 1 week in advance.
Get prepared
Go to www.sbf.se and click on “Racing” and “Rules”, then study the “Common rules all sports” and the “Racing regulations”: The most important parts of the Common Rules are chapters G 2.1, G 2.4 and 10, which relate to the environment and flags. And in the Racing regulations: Chapter RA 7 Racing driving.
Things to keep in mind
You need to bring your own standard car, which you can drive on the track.
The car must satisfy the following criteria:
– Manual gearbox.
– A passenger seat must be present in order for instructors to be able to ride along.
– The noise level must not exceed 95 dB.
– Brake pads and brake fluid must be in good condition.
– The car must be emptied of all loose objects.
You will also need a helmet, gloves and racing type shoes, or trainers. Ideally wear cotton clothing, and avoid fleece and nylon. If you have no suitable clothing, these can be hired.
